Litter affects every part of NYC. It’s a citywide problem that requires citywide cooperation to combat it.
Our mission is to clean up New York City by encouraging all New Yorkers to pick up at least one piece of trash per day, with each small effort from New Yorkers leading to a huge impact by the end of the day.
Changing the city is possible, especially with numbers.
New York City is 8 million strong. We want to get every NYC resident to pitch in their one piece of litter per day! We hope to convince each New Yorker to pick up a piece of litter each day through social media, word-of-mouth, conventional media, and coordinated action.

All it takes is a few seconds out of your day, whether walking to work, school, running errands, or just walking outside, to pick up a piece of trash on the street and put it in a bin.
